Classes in the Philippines for school year 2009-2010 supposed to start on June 8th, but for some circumstances, the Department of Education announced that classes will be posponed and will resume on June 15 Monday. Our youngest is a college freshmen this year. He is going to Davao City for his school since the course( P.T) that he is taking right now is not offered in Surigao. It's kind'a far from Surigao but we don't really hve choice. This is better than going to Cebu for school. Knowing that classes will sta the first week of June him and my Mom went to Davao 5 days before the class starts, since he has an orientation and My Mom has to attend the parents conference. Anyway, since since the class has been pusponed my Mom has to stay their a little bit longer to accompany my brother since it's his first time away from home. But when he is used on the place and school Mom would leave and go home.

A Poem to My Mother
Sa araw ng mga Ina,
Di man kita mayakap,
Even though we're separated by oceans,
I send you my hugs,
I thank you for the love & care,
Thank You,Thank You,Thank You
I love you Mama.

The Year of the Ox
Happy New Year to All. Let's welcome the Year of the Ox peacefully. According to the Chinese culture, people who were born in the Year of the Ox are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. They tend, however, to be eccentric, and bigoted, and they anger easily. Those are, 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997. They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed. They are most compatible with Snake, Rooster, and Rat people.

Welcome to the World Nevaeh Ysabelle
Our eldest sister just had a healthy baby girl few hours ago. She was born around 3:30am, Dec 19, 2008, Philippine Time. I gave her the name Nevaeh Ysabelle while my sister was on labor. The name Nevaeh comes from the English origin. In English, the meaning of the name Nevaeh is: the word Heaven spelled backwards. The name is a contemporary creation that has gained great popularity over a short period of time. It is a great name. Ysabelle is derived from my Mom's name,( Nevaeh Ysabelle's GrandMa) which is Isabelita. The name Ysabelle comes from the Italian origin. In Italian, the meaning of the name Ysabelle is: Italian form of Isabel: conseacrated to God.

Happy Birthday Little Brother
Happy 16th Birthday my little brother.
Your cake and gifts don't matter much.
These common things aren't really you,
Ribbons, paper hats and such.
We celebrate a person who
Brings happiness to everyone,
Someone who gives more than he gets,
And fills our lives with joy and fun.
So Happy Birthday, and many more!
We hope you make it to a hundred and two,
Because we cannot even dream
What life would be like without you.

It's Coming - A Thanksgiving Poem
It's Coming
A Thanksgiving Poem
The leaves are changing their colors by the day
The palette hasn't changed since early May
Now there is a bounty of different hues
Splashes of red, orange and yellow in every view
Farmers are busy in their fields
Hoping to have bountiful yields
Ghosts and goblins have gone away
Thanksgiving is on it's way
Now is the time to make your plans
Time to get out the trusty roasting pan
Set the menu and make a list
Make sure nothing is missed
Dig out Grandma's recipe for dressing
Her special touches are a blessing
Dash of this, pinch of that, no need to measure
Memories of her in her apron are something you should treasure
Getting up at dawn to start the feast
Kneading the dough and adding the yeast
Pulling the giblets and putting the bird to bed
The comforting smell of home made bread
As you look at the daunting task ahead
You are not filled with fear or dread
For laughter and love will erase any doubt
The love of your family is what it's all about

A Family Delight
The time has come,
To give thanks and praise,
To cherish our lives...
Our gifts, our family.
As we gather together,
Around a table of family,
We see the light that
Shines upon us today.
All our troubles and worries
Are washed clean with love,
By something so simple as a day,
Where we honor our past and
From where we've come.
Therefore we all must enjoy this day;
A day of beauty and of celebration.
For if we truly pause to think
Which day we love the most
It would undoubtedly be...
...Thanksgiving.
